A change agent actively engages with others to foster change. Additionally, they may act on people resisting change within their areas of influence. They are good listeners who acquire information and act on feedback. An effective change agent leads by example is patient but persistent, passionate, well respected, enthusiastic, and pragmatic. Mother Teresa is an example of effective change agent.
